Annette + Hunter

Annette + Hunter

This was such a fun engagement shoot! Annette and Hunter are such an amazingly sweet couple. I got to go on an adventure this day with them to places I haven’t shot at or even been to before!

We started off at this beautiful waterfall in Glade, BC where they snuggled up and had some fun at this little gem of a location. After that we proceeded to Taghum beach where you could really get a feel for how smoky it was this summer. I actually am loving the affect of the smoke for photos (not so much the effects on our bodies and forests though).

I’m so excited to be capturing Annette and Hunter’s beautiful day in a couple weeks! <3 They were a joy to photograph.

Dawn + Scott

Dawn + Scott

This amazing couple just celebrated their 10 year anniversary!

I was so excited when Dawn asked me to capture this milestone for them. I’ve known Dawn’s family since highschool and this beautiful family has been coming to see me for photos faithfully for the past couple years. I just love watching my Lota Love families grow up right before my eyes.

We got to spend the evening at Gyro Park in Trail which is the same location they had their wedding photos at 10 years ago.

Cheers to Dawn and Scott for another 10+ years ahead <3

Tiane + Dylan

Tiane + Dylan

I used to know Tiane ages ago when we were in high school. We worked at McDonald's together and she was always the biggest sweetheart and that hasn’t changed! I met Dylan last year while he was in another wedding party I was photographing and he was just an all around awesome guy!

Dylan and Tiane compliment each other completely. They were too adorable throughout their whole session and you can plainly see how much they adore one another.

We spend the evening at Champion Lakes and finished the night off with some fishing, canoeing and caught the tail end of the sunset. These two were a treat to spend the night with and I’m so pumped for their wedding next summer 😍

Ellen + Ryan

Ellen + Ryan

I was so excited to do these photos of Ellen and Ryan! I’ve gotten to know these two a little bit over the last year and I just love seeing them together. You can just tell they’re best friends.

Ellen gave me some ideas for location for the shoot across the highway from their house. We went down a path and found some awesome spots along the way, including some “weeds,” (I don’t even know if they’re weeds - does anyone know what they’re called?!) on the side of the highway. I’ve always been drawn to photographing these long reddish things because I love the texture and colour of them. Ellen and Ryan accepted my weird obsession with the weeds and complied with being photographed in them.

I always find that the couples that say they’re the most, “awkward,” in photos end up being the least bit awkward and the photos of them turn out amazing! I had so much fun third wheeling it up with these two and can’t wait to do it again for their wedding in December!

Tori + Rhys

Tori + Rhys

I was honored to spend the day with Tori and Rhys on their wedding day on June 23rd, 2018 in beautiful Nelson, BC at the Prestige Lakeside Resort.

The weather this day was iffy with possibility of rain, so Tori decided to move the ceremony into the resort to have the ceremony, but the weather held off enough to have a private first look between Tori and Rhys before they said, "I do." We were even lucky enough to get some amazing shots down at Lakeside Park, and on the Trolley! How cool was it that the Trolley's number was 23 (The date of their wedding!)?!

So happy for these two. Congratulations, Tori and Rhys! <3

Taylor + Danny

Taylor + Danny

Taylor and Danny's wedding day took place on June 9th, 2018 in Rossland, BC. Taylor decked out the Rossland Miner's Hall and made it absolutely gorgeous. It was an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family, filled with love, laughter and tears.

Taylor was a super organized bride and booked me ages ago. I love it when couples book me early as I seem to get to know them better. I was able to document two engagement sessions (one in the winter and the other in the summer), and I got to know the two of them and their love for one another very well. By the time the wedding rolled around, these two were pros at getting their photos taken!

We had planned to take more photos outside but the rain would NOT let down but no one seemed to mind. The inside of the Old Rossland Firehall was the perfect backdrop for their formals since they originally wanted to host their whole wedding there anyhow.

They always say rain brings good luck on a wedding day, and it was a beautiful day indeed. These two complete one another, and make each other whole. Congratulations Taylor and Danny - I can't wait to see what your future holds <3.

Sam + Colin

Sam + Colin

These two are getting married next week!!

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Sam over these last few months. This beautiful soul and I are definitely on the same wave length and she's been a breeze to work with because she totally gets the whole mom thing. Colin is a bit quiet - but my goodness does he ever love his girls! He looks at the three of them with absolute love on his face and it was so fun to document.

Their wedding next weekend is just the extra icing on the cake because these 4 have life down pat. I'm so honored to be a part of their big day, and Sam - I can't wait to get our girls together and continue this friendship.

Stay tuned for their wedding photos! <3

Amanda + Mark

Amanda + Mark

Where do I even start with these two!

I was so excited when Amanda asked me to be a part of their big day! We immediately clicked when we met up for the initial wedding consult. Amanda was a busy nursing student at that time and the poor girl was working hard to get her schooling done.

Fast forward to this day when she was finally done all her exams and her fiance was home. Now she could focus on her new career and getting a beautiful wedding planned! We had a big engagement session planned and I was super excited to third wheel it up with these two! This was the first time I met Mark and it was so awesome to see Amanda so happy and relaxed with her love. Their love and goofiness together was an absolute joy to capture.

We started this session off in their beautiful backyard with their lovely fur baby, Franklin. Amanda had gotten two amazing bouquets from the amazing Stone Meadow Gardens for the shoot, and they did not disappoint.  After the back yard stuff we took the bikes out for a rip and had a little cuddle time with the lillacs. Then we headed our way to Syringa and got in the last few rays with a fire on the beach.

Can't wait for their wedding in August!! <3
