I already absolutely love photographing weddings, and it’s even better when you get to capture these moments for friends.

I’ve known Matt and Candice for a few years now and I just adore their relationship. They’re so sweet with one another yet have their incredibly cute silly moments. They poke fun at one another in a playful loving way that cracks everyone up.

Their wedding took place August 18th, 2018 when there was all the crazy smoke from the wildfires. It wasn’t great for everyone’s lungs but I didn’t mind it so much for the photos! Candice and Matt didn’t let the smoke bother them in the slightest and their beautiful day went off without a hitch.

I could not be happier for these two and it was a true honor to capture these memories for them. Congratulations Candice and Matt - I look forward to seeing what your journey as husband and wife brings you. <3

Boy I’m behind on this blog of mine! I have many more weddings to catch you all up on but let’s start with this beautiful couple Who tied the knot on July 7th, 2018!

When I first met Sam and Colin, they came to my home with their two beautiful girls who are around the same age as mine, so naturally I found we clicked right away and had a lot in common.

Sam and Colin has already built a beautiful life together and their wedding was just the icing on top of the already formed beautiful cake.

It was a beautiful day at the Little Bear Golf course in Castlegar. It warmed my heart to watch these two tie the knot with their beautiful little girls running around. It’s so special that they were able to witness their mom and dad make such special promises to one another.

Congrats Sam and Colin! I can’t wait to see where this next journey in life takes you four ❤️

This was such a fun engagement shoot! Annette and Hunter are such an amazingly sweet couple. I got to go on an adventure this day with them to places I haven’t shot at or even been to before!

We started off at this beautiful waterfall in Glade, BC where they snuggled up and had some fun at this little gem of a location. After that we proceeded to Taghum beach where you could really get a feel for how smoky it was this summer. I actually am loving the affect of the smoke for photos (not so much the effects on our bodies and forests though).

I’m so excited to be capturing Annette and Hunter’s beautiful day in a couple weeks! <3 They were a joy to photograph.

This amazing couple just celebrated their 10 year anniversary!

I was so excited when Dawn asked me to capture this milestone for them. I’ve known Dawn’s family since highschool and this beautiful family has been coming to see me for photos faithfully for the past couple years. I just love watching my Lota Love families grow up right before my eyes.

We got to spend the evening at Gyro Park in Trail which is the same location they had their wedding photos at 10 years ago.

I used to know Tiane ages ago when we were in high school. We worked at McDonald's together and she was always the biggest sweetheart and that hasn’t changed! I met Dylan last year while he was in another wedding party I was photographing and he was just an all around awesome guy!

Dylan and Tiane compliment each other completely. They were too adorable throughout their whole session and you can plainly see how much they adore one another.

We spend the evening at Champion Lakes and finished the night off with some fishing, canoeing and caught the tail end of the sunset. These two were a treat to spend the night with and I’m so pumped for their wedding next summer 😍

I was so excited to do these photos of Ellen and Ryan! I’ve gotten to know these two a little bit over the last year and I just love seeing them together. You can just tell they’re best friends.

Ellen gave me some ideas for location for the shoot across the highway from their house. We went down a path and found some awesome spots along the way, including some “weeds,” (I don’t even know if they’re weeds - does anyone know what they’re called?!) on the side of the highway. I’ve always been drawn to photographing these long reddish things because I love the texture and colour of them. Ellen and Ryan accepted my weird obsession with the weeds and complied with being photographed in them.

I always find that the couples that say they’re the most, “awkward,” in photos end up being the least bit awkward and the photos of them turn out amazing! I had so much fun third wheeling it up with these two and can’t wait to do it again for their wedding in December!
