Sam + Colin

These two are getting married next week!!

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Sam over these last few months. This beautiful soul and I are definitely on the same wave length and she's been a breeze to work with because she totally gets the whole mom thing. Colin is a bit quiet - but my goodness does he ever love his girls! He looks at the three of them with absolute love on his face and it was so fun to document.

Their wedding next weekend is just the extra icing on the cake because these 4 have life down pat. I'm so honored to be a part of their big day, and Sam - I can't wait to get our girls together and continue this friendship.

Stay tuned for their wedding photos! <3

Amanda + Mark

Where do I even start with these two!

I was so excited when Amanda asked me to be a part of their big day! We immediately clicked when we met up for the initial wedding consult. Amanda was a busy nursing student at that time and the poor girl was working hard to get her schooling done.

Fast forward to this day when she was finally done all her exams and her fiance was home. Now she could focus on her new career and getting a beautiful wedding planned! We had a big engagement session planned and I was super excited to third wheel it up with these two! This was the first time I met Mark and it was so awesome to see Amanda so happy and relaxed with her love. Their love and goofiness together was an absolute joy to capture.

We started this session off in their beautiful backyard with their lovely fur baby, Franklin. Amanda had gotten two amazing bouquets from the amazing Stone Meadow Gardens for the shoot, and they did not disappoint.  After the back yard stuff we took the bikes out for a rip and had a little cuddle time with the lillacs. Then we headed our way to Syringa and got in the last few rays with a fire on the beach.

Can't wait for their wedding in August!! <3

Baby Nathan

I was so excited when Rose and Owen asked me to come take some lifestyle shots of their new baby boy, Nathan.

Steve and I first met Owen a few years ago through a mutual friend. We have our usual solid group of friends from highschool but Owen fit right in. He's the type of person who makes you feel like you're his best friend and makes sure you don't lose contact. He's grown to be one of our best friends. He's very smart, fit and super modest about all of his awesomeness. We always talked about how great of a guy Owen is and how we can't wait for him to find a great girl. When he met Rose we knew they were a perfect match. Within the last couple of years they've put their life in overdrive and have gotten a fur baby (Numa), got engaged, bought a house and had a beautiful baby boy.

These are two people that we've always admired, and know they'll excel at parenthood. I remember not long ago Rose talked about being unsure of having children. Thinking of that, I teared up editing these photos because you can clearly see how smitten she (and Owen) are over their baby boy. This little man is super lucky and I just can't wait to see what adventures this family has in store. <3

Also, it's pretty awesome our little ones are only like a month apart so they're obviously going to be best friends! (Two of them at the end)

Marlee + Caleb

Marlee and Caleb tied the knot in the beautiful home of Caleb's parents in Nelson, BC on St. Patricks Day weekend. Only their immediate family was present, including their adorable little guy - Jackson!

I was so happy to have Marlee's mom ask me to take photos of their intimate day. I've know Marlee since we were kids. We both grew being taught by the same singing teacher and often sang together in choir. Marlee is a couple years younger than me and I always thought of her as being little. Well - not anymore! It was so neat to see her all grown up with a beautiful family of her own. This was the first time I met Caleb and I loved the way he looked at Marlee and goofed around with his son, Jackson.

We ventured down to 1 mile beach after the ceremony for some more family photos and had some fun. Jackson entertained us all with his awesome sillyness. Love this kiddo!

Congratulations Marlee and Caleb! <3

2018 Mommy + Mes

I think these minis are my favourite of the year. There is nothing like seeing the littles and their moms having fun and just being themselves together. Mom's are always the ones behind the camera so I absolutely love giving them the spotlight.

Here's some highlights from the Mommy + Mes minis this year!

Chantal + Andrew

It was so awesome to photograph Chantal and Andrew's wedding celebrations! They spread the wedding out over 2 days which was fantastic. Wedding days go by so fast, so it was great to see them be able to visit with everyone who love them so much.

I first met Chantal at one of my fitness classes and we hit it off right away. I'm so happy to call her a friend now and she's one of the most kind and thoughtful people. Andrew originally booked me to document his insanely romantic proposal down by the Columbia River. Seeing these two together just melts my heart. They're so sweet with one another and make an amazing couple.

Their beautiful ceremony and reception celebrations all took place at Birchbank Picnic grounds and I think everyone was guilty at least once of letting a few tears slip.

I'm so happy I met these two and can't wait to see what their future holds <3 .

2017 Summary

I'm tearing up even writing this (could be the pregnancy hormones) because I'm so grateful for each and every one of you. I'm living my dream job and I have you to thank for it. You allow me to capture these precious times in your life and while doing so I get to pursue my passion and grow myself as an artist. This past year I've photographed over 100 sessions. 121 to be exact!! You guys kept me busy and it was so so awesome!

I'm so excited for the New Year. I'm not going to be able to go as crazy as I'd like, as I'm having a baby in April, but here's what I have planned so far:

- MINIS! You guys seem to love the minis and so do I! In 2017 I started offering Birthday minis which were an AMAZING success. I just adore seeing the little kiddos grow up. I'm going to be offering them again this year, however they're not going to be just deligated to Birthday minis. These new Minis will be called Gyro Minis at gyro park in Trail, and I'll be offering them once a month and they can be any type of session you want (Including birthday, couples, and family photos (up to 6 people)). I'll also be offering a few Mini Sessions a year that will be in special locations (Like Mother's Day, Fall, and Summer Minis etc...). Dates and more details for these sessions coming super super soon!
- REGULAR SESSIONS! These are my favourite. I want to do some really fun stuff this year. I want to find ways to evoke more emotions in your photos and get into more of the activities you enjoy as a family/couple!
- WEDDINGS! I absolutely ADORE my wedding clients. I'm so excited for the amazing weddings coming up in 2018! I could go on and on about my wedding clients! They've all ended up being such great friends, and I couldn't ask for more <3 . I don't think I'll be taking on any more as I'm going to be a bit busy with a new little one this summer.
- VIDEO! This past year my husband had the chance to dabble in some video for a wedding and it was amazing! It's a whole other ballgame and I really want to learn and grow more in this aspect. I won't be jumping into wedding videos this early on in the game, but will be offering some sweet deals to get my feet wet in this department. I'm most likely going to start out with children birthday parties... send me a message if you're interested!

So thank you, thank you my amazing clients! I hope I get to see you in the New Year, and can't wait to meet some new clients this year!

All my heart,
Charlotte

Danielle + Sean

I was so excited to be able to document Danielle and Sean's day for them. They are one of the most adventurous couples I've ever met, so I knew it'd be a good one.

I knew Sean from us both being part of South Columbia Search and Rescue, and I hadn't known Danielle until we got together to discuss wedding details. The more I got to know Danielle I found out she was one of the most caring and endearing people. She makes you feel like her best friend, and I just love her for that!

The ceremony took place on Kootenay pass after a 10 minute hike - so their style. Danielle was so excited to make it down the isle that she forgot her mom was supposed to walk her down which was so sweet.

I'm so incredibly happy for you two and wish you nothing but the best for your future <3 .
